About Our School
Orchard
Prairie School
was established in 1894. It is located on Orchard Prairie, a beautiful farming community in Spokane, Washington.
Averaging between 65 and 80 students in attendance each year, we are the 2nd-smallest school in Spokane.
We have classrooms for Kindergarten, 1st/2nd, 3rd/4th, and 5th/6th/7th grades. All of our classrooms are combined except for Kindergarten.
Among others, a couple of key advantages to being a small school is that we are able to offer additional individual student attention, and we can also provide our students with rich opportunities to learn outside of the classroom setting!

Special Education Programs
Special Education services are provided to eligible students ages 3 - 21. Federal and state regulations require that all public school districts have Child Find procedures in place so that students of concern can be identified, referred, and as appropriate assessed and placed in a program designed for their needs.
Orchard Prairie School District provides services for the children of our school at no cost to you. The district offers special programs such as speech therapy, physical and occupational therapy, Title/LAP and special education academic programs. We contract through West Valley School District for some of these services.
Developmental screenings and or comprehensive assessments for children who are suspected of having a disability that could adversely affect their educational development are available at no cost to you. These services are available for persons between the ages of 3 through 21 years of age. Appointments or further information can be obtained by contacting the office at (509) 467-9517.
